How To Build A Portable Wardrobe
Portable Wardrobe – If you are traveling and need a portable storage area for your clothes when you arrive at your destination, a portable locker can help greatly. There are several varieties of commercial portable cabinets available, with many versions that are covered with large nylon walls hanging on a wooden frame. But you can also build your own portable closet that is much simpler and easier to transport. You only need some pipes or poles (metal, wood or PVC can work) with the proper piping facilities to connect them in a frame and strong bridles to help them stand up.
Place four high posts on your flanges and stand upon the flanges. The flanges have to be large and heavy enough to provide balance and allow the poles to stand upright. Attach the PVC pipe fittings to the top ends of the vertical posts. Two of the poles get two-way fittings in them while the other two use three-way fittings. You need accessories that are perpendicular. Align the four poles standing up so that they form the corners of a square on the ground. The two poles with two-way accessories on the top should be in front of the two posts with three-way accessories on the back. Each port opened in a necessary accessory to point to another open port.
Connect the four posts together at the top by placing the shorter posts into the open holes in the accessories. When all are together, the short poles will form a horizontal “U” frame with the tip of the U pointing towards you. Hang all the clothes and clothes hanging from the short, horizontal poles to use the frame as a closet. Disassemble all the poles and accessories if you need to transport the cabinet somewhere else, then reassemble it when you reach your destination.
