How To Make Purse Storage
You can make cute, neutral-colored purse storage to equip each outfit or design another bag to coordinate. Use a simple cotton blend fabric and solidify the material with the interface or choose a thicker fabric, such as a rug for a sturdy bag you can create in less than 30 minutes. Show off your personality with flamboyant decals or brightly patterned fabric, or make an elegant purse from solid color satin.
Cut out two rectangular pieces of the same fabric. Make the rectangles about 10 inches by 14 inches for medium purse storage. Cut two pieces of molten interface the same size as the rectangular fabric. Place the fabric rectangles side by side on a flat surface with the wrong side facing up. Place one of the fusible interface rectangles on each of the fabric rectangles. Use an iron to attach interfaces to fabric rectangles.
Place one of the rectangles on top of the other with the wrong sides of the fabric facing out. Pin a long side together, and then needle the two short edges together. Fold over 1/2 inch of fabric from the remaining long edge of the wrong side of the fabric. Sew the pleat in place to make a clean top for the handbag. Use a straight stitch to sew three needles toward each other. Then turn the bag right side out. Measure the circumference of the bag. Cut a rectangular piece of plain fabric that measures 3 inches with the perimeter of the bag, plus 1/2 inch.
